The Octopus Restaurant, Guernsey
I was contacted by a company in Guernsey (Infinity Construction) who were undertaking the renovation of an old cafe in the capital, St Peter Port They were converting it into a modern fish restaurant called The Octopus.
After seeing a table I had made for a previous client, they commissioned me to make various worktops and capping that would go around the seating areas.
I re-used some French Railway Oak from a Bristol company called Chaunceys. The wood was covered in soot & grime and took ages to process. The end result is beautiful; it was well worth the effort.
